Message by Jeremy Corbyn on Rosh Hashanah 2017
Shanah Tovah.
I would like to send my greetings to Jewish people in our country and around the world as you prepare to celebrate the High Holy Days.
It is a time of celebration and new beginnings, but also contemplation and reflection on how we have met the challenges in the year that has passed.
This year, 5778, will present our country with new challenges, but working together, the Jewish community and the people of all faiths and none, we can and we will overcome them.
Labour is the Party that was created to challenge inequality and injustice.
In the new year, we will continue that proud legacy.
Together, let’s usher in a happy and peaceful new year as we remember our shared values of peace, justice and equality.
Shanah Tovah.
