More than 350 million people globally live with viral hepatitis, and every 30 seconds, someone dies from hepatitis-related disease, including liver failure, cirrhosis, and cancer. We have the tests, treatments, and prevention tools to prevent infections and save lives, but they must be more affordable and implemented at scale. On World Hepatitis Day, WHO is calling on all governments and partners to scale up the use of effective tools against hepatitis. There are examples of countries in all regions at all income levels that are doing just that.文章源自英文巴士-https://www.en84.com/13502.html

Today, WHO is publishing a new report that shows how seven countries are applying WHO’s tools and guidelines, and making progress towards the elimination of hepatitis B and C. Brazil, Egypt, Georgia, Mongolia, Rwanda, Thailand, and the United Kingdom. The success of these countries shows what’s possible and gives us the confidence that with political commitment and investment, the elimination of viral hepatitis is within our reach.
