We are pleased to announce the
International Conference on Phonetics of the Languages in China (ICPLC-2013) to
be held at the City University of Hong Kong, December 2-4, 2013. ‘Languages’ in
the conference title refer to members of Chinese dialect groups and the
minority languages in China. Many studies have been carried out since
ICPLC-1998. It is the time to bring together researchers interested in
phonetics of Chinese dialects and the minority languages to report their recent
research findings. A key aim of ICPLC is to promote investigation of phonetic
characteristics of the sounds of Chinese sub-dialects and the endangered
minority languages. We welcome contributions reporting empirically-based
studies and invite all interested colleagues and students to take part in the
event.
