是自然的美，是美的自然；

绝无人迹处，空山响流泉。

云在青山外，人在白云内；

云飞人自还，尚有青山在！

Scenery Amongst the Hills

Li Ta-chao, written in 1918

Natural beauty of scenery

lying in such quiet loveliness

hill and valley giving solitude;

over the wild hills comes

the sound of running waters,

up in the cloud that rests on hilltops

people move as if in the heavens

though when clouds sail on, they

still are there and in places where

there are no folk at all, the great

green hill, stands out defiantly.
