The
mightier half of the South-East, massive Yangtze shores! At
Daoyi’s decease, aborteth abrupt our noble cause. What
onerous enormous tasks with us thou leavest behind? And
where again will we hear that stirring calling of thine?
On
frontiers, battle stallions neighing in autumn breeze, O’er
famished inland, wild geese cry at sunset bleak. A
victory party being given at Tartars’ den one day, Let
all of the river’s waters be poured a libation to thee!
