旅人的鞋跟染着征泥，

黏住了鞋跟，黏住了心的征泥，

几时经可爱的手拂拭？

栈石星饭的岁月，

骤山骤水的行程：

只有寂静中的促织声，

给旅人尝一点家乡的风味。

Nostalgia in Travel

Dai Wangshu

When the reed catkins at home town burst into flowers,

The heels of the traveler are stuck with road mud.

The road mud that sticks to the heels and to the mind

Has ever been wiped off by the lovely hands?

During the time of outdoors eating and resting,

On the journey climbing over mountains and crossing waters,

What smells of hometown to the traveler

Is only the chirping of crickets in serenity.
