I. Red Sun

2003

 

O Sun, with white rays you break the night,

Emitting red light, the snows you melt

Until fog gives way and spring leaps into sight.

Splendor your portent;

Lush green your escort.

To fill vale and hill you send purple rays from the East;

The most promising light you boundlessly disseminate.

Rising,

You are brilliant;

Setting,

You remain brilliant.
