黄边黑心的浓云，

是严霜和灾雹的张本；

非僧非俗的班第*，

是我佛教法的仇敌。

注：藏文为ban-dhe。据叶式客(Yaschke)的《藏英字典》的二义：（1）佛教僧人，（2）本波pon po教出家人。按“本波教”为西藏原始宗教，和内地的道教极相似。在西藏常和佛教互相排斥。此处ban dhe似系作第二义解。

The cloud which has a yellow brim and a black center,

Is the foreboding of frost and hail.

A ban-dhe which is nether monk nor layman,

Is an enemy of the Teachings of Buddha.
