大江歌罢掉头东，邃密群科济世穷；

面壁十年图破壁，难酬蹈海亦英雄。

Song of the Grand River sung,

I head resolute for the east,

Having vainly delved in all schools

For clues to a better world.

Ten years face to wall,

I shall make a break-through,

Or die an avowed rebel
