彼此孤离地兀立着

风与空气

告诉着它们的距离

但是在泥土的覆盖下

它们的根生长着

在看不见的深处

它们把根须纠缠在一起

One tree, another tree,

Each standing alone and erect

The wind and air

Tell their distance apart

But beneath the cover of earth

Their roots reach out

And at depths that cannot be seen

The roots of the trees intertwine
