In the Shower (Fragment)

July 1917

Going by the distant river bend in the shower and east wind,

And the pelting rain from the sky far away reaches the Stone Dragon Pass.

Before the wild ferry the green pine timbers in array,

And the streaming water under the broken bridge ripples with rings.
