A Verse with Eight Five-Character Lines

The Ascent of Yuelu Mountain

Winter 1916

Going boating together at Zhu-Zhang Ferry,

When the stratified ice goes up the Tangerine Ait.

The birds singing are heard from the maple road,

And the leaves fall in the dark mount.

Calling my companion while climbing the peak,

And recognizing the vigorous birds hovering in the heaven vault.

The jointly composed poems on the Hexi Stage are still there,

And what is still influential after one thousand years is the merit.
