Trickle, drops! my blue veins leaving! 

O drops of me! trickle, slow drops,     

Candid, from me falling—drip, bleeding drops,  

From wounds made to free you whence you were prison’d,

From my face—from my forehead and lips,

From my breast—from within where I was conceal’d, press forth, red drops—confession drops;

Stain every page—stain every song I sing, every word I say, bloody drops;     

Let them know your scarlet heat—let them glisten;

Saturate them with yourself, all ashamed and wet;     

Glow upon all I have written, or shall write, bleeding drops;     

Let it all be seen in your light, blushing drops.

缓缓渗出的点滴

缓缓渗出的点滴！从我的蓝色的血管中流出！

啊，是我落下的点滴！渗出着，缓慢的点滴，

径直地从我身上流下，滴落，点点鲜血，

从为了把你自监狱中解放出来而造成的创伤中，

从我脸上，从我额头和嘴唇上，

从我胸口，从那隐蔽着的我的内心深处挤出了红色的点滴，自画供状的点滴，

请污染每一页，污染我唱的每一首歌，我说的每一句话吧，血红的点滴，

让它们懂得你那猩红的高温，让它们闪烁放光，

让它们浸透着你自己，满面惭怍而潮湿，

使我所写或将要写的一切都发出红光吧，点点鲜血，

让一切都渗透你的观点吧，羞得通红的点滴。
