You send me word that Alexander, King of Macedonia, has a great desire to see me. You did well to give him that title, for whatever the Macedonians may be, you know I am subject to nobody. If that prince has a mind to be acquainted with me, and my manner of life, let him come hither, for I shall always think Athens as far distant form Macedon as Macedon is form Athens.
