问：据报道，7日，法国总统奥朗德表示将于11月访华，其间将与习近平主席共同为巴黎气候变化大会成功发出呼吁。中方对此有何评论？对巴黎气候变化大会有何期待？

Q: French President François Hollande announced on September 7 that he would travel to China in November to launch an appeal for the success of the Paris Climate Change Conference with President Xi Jinping. What is China’s comment on that? What is China’s expectation for the Paris Conference?

答：中方支持法国举办巴黎气候变化大会，赞赏法方为筹办会议作出的积极努力。我们欢迎奥朗德总统访华，双方正就此保持密切沟通。

A: The Chinese side supports France in holding the Paris Climate Change Conference and appreciates efforts made by the French side to prepare for the Conference. We welcome President Hollande’s visit to China and stay in close communication with the French side on that.

推动年底巴黎气候变化大会如期达成协议是国际社会的共同期待。中方愿与各方一道，按照“共同但有区别的责任”原则、公平原则、各自能力原则，推动巴黎大会达成全面、均衡的结果，为全球应对气候变化提供真正有效的解决方案。当前谈判时间所剩不多，谈判任务仍然艰巨，各方要以最大诚意加速谈判，最大限度凝聚共识。中方也愿与各方加强沟通协调，为巴黎大会成功作出积极努力。

To reach an agreement as scheduled at the Paris Conference by the end of this year meets the aspiration of the entire international community. The Chinese side will work with all parties in the principles of common but differentiated responsibilities, equity and respective capabilities for a comprehensive and balanced outcome of the Paris Conference so as to equip the global efforts against climate change with an effective solution. There is not much time left for the negotiation, but we are still faced with daunting tasks. All parties should speed up negotiation with the utmost sincerity and build up consensus with the best efforts. The Chinese side will enhance communication and coordination with all parties and work enthusiastically for the success of the Paris Conference.

问：据报道，朝韩红十字会议8日上午结束，双方商定于10月20日至26日在金刚山举行离散家属团聚活动。中方对此有何评论？

Q: Red Cross officials from the DPRK and the ROK concluded their meeting on the morning of September 8 with the agreement of holding reunions of families separated by the 1950-1953 Korean War at Mount Kumgang resort from October 20 to 26. What is China’s comment on that?

答：我们注意到有关报道，对半岛北南双方同意举行离散家属团聚活动表示欢迎。中方支持朝韩双方继续通过对话协商改善关系，推进和解合作，为维护半岛和平稳定作出切实努力。

A: We have noted the relevant report, and welcome the agreement between the DPRK and the ROK of holding family reunions. The Chinese side supports the two sides in improving relations through dialogue and consultation, promoting reconciliation and cooperation and making tangible efforts to safeguard peace and stability of the Korean Peninsula.
