《菜根谭》英译（忠恕待人、养德远害）

不责人小过，不发人阴私，不念人旧恶。三者可以养德，亦可以远害。

Do not censure others with their minor faults. Do not reveal the private matters of others. Do not bear in mind the old grievances. Whoever knows how to practice the above three taboos can school himself to moral refinement and stay out of calamities as well.
