The tz’u to the tune of ‘Tieh lien hua’, ‘Alone I climb the high tower’, can be found in [Ouyang Hsiu’s] Liu-yi tz’u and in [Liu Yung’s] Yueh-chang chi. It is my opinion that Liu Yung was a rather frivolous person, only capable of writing such lines as, ‘I’d like, my dear one, so elegant, so clever…’
