Of K’uang Chou-yi’s tz’u the little songs are somewhat like those of Yen Chi-tao and the long songs fall somewhere between Chou Pang-yen and Shih Ta-tsu but surpass them in expression of anguish. And even though Chu Tsu-mou’s poetry shows rich beauty and expert skill, he must yield place to the former in grasp of reality. Why does it have to be that Heaven uses a hundred misfortunes to fashion one tz’u writer?
