Autumn View in Chang’an Zhao
Gu The
clouds skim over the residency in a dear way, And
the lofty autumn fills Han palaces with dismay. Wild
geese fly across the border, few stars in the sky. I
lean upon the tower’s rail fluting out a deep sigh. Still
are chrysanthemums, half opened and in purple clad. When
its red dress dropping, the islet lotus looks sad. I
can’t go home to eat my favorite perch but here remain. As
a captive-lie stranger wearing a native cap in vain. |
