Fishing

Ma Puchen

I hold a long punting poke and roam,

Thus my career is linked to water.

I change the fish I catch for liquor,

A small boat is taken as my home.

I do my cooking with the net hung up to dry,

Anchorage is made with the moon low in the sky.

I will never mind catching more or fewer fish,

So long as this conforms to my pastoral wish.
