行尽江南数十程，

晓风残月入华清。

朝元阁上西风急，

都入长杨作雨声。

Lament for Huaqing Palace

Du Chang

Travelled through many a relay in the South Shore,

I reached Huaqing with morning breeze and a waning moon.

A strong west wind was raging past Zhaoyuna Tower’s door,

In Changyang palace all turned into raindrops soon.
