禁门深掩断人声。

吴王宴罢满宫醉，

日暮水漂花出城。

The Palace of Wu

Dragon Pavilion in dead silence and Water Palace clear,

Forbidden Gate heavily closed, cutting off party cheers.

The Duke of Wu (1) done banqueting, the whole palace drunk,

Dusk falls, water flows and petals drift out through the moat.

(1)    Duke of Wu here refers to Fuchai, the last duke of Wu in the Spring and Autumn Period.
