宿雨乘轻屐，<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />

春寒着敝袍。

开畦分白水，

间柳发红桃。

草际成棋局，

林端举桔槔。

还持鹿皮几，

日暮隐蓬蒿。

Spring on the Farm

It rained last night. I’ll put on my pair of clogs

And gown, though shabby, for the cold in early spring.

The fields being watered look like shiny bogs,

While crimson buds ’mong willows smiling swing.

The grass is turned to chessboards full of joy,

And winch-drawn water pails go high ’bove the trees.

With a deer-skin elbow prop I’ll go to enjoy

The sunset glow in the midst of weeds and the breeze.
