王维·《送友人归山歌》英译

山中人兮欲归，

云冥冥兮雨霏霏，

水惊波兮翠菅靡，

白鹭忽兮翻飞，

君不可兮褰衣！

山万重兮一云，

混天地兮不分；

树晻暧兮氛氲，

猿不见兮空闻。

忽山西兮夕阳，

见东皋兮远村；

平芜绿兮千里，

眇惆怅兮思君。

Seeing a Friend Off to His Mountain Seclusion

O the mountain man is leaving!

Dark clouds shed rains in grieving.

The waters frowning, grasses downing,

Egret's wings are heaving.

You can't hold up your robe and go,

For the clouds in the mountains are low.

You won't tell earth from sky,

All trees are gloomed, O my!

And somewhere apes do cry.

As sudden sunset rays

Light up the fields and ways,

The wide wide fields are green.

Alas, you can't be seen!
