东南之美，有荆山之麝脐焉。荆人有遂麝者，麝急，则决其脐投诸莽，逐者趋焉，麝因得以逸。令尹子文闻之曰：“是兽也，而人有弗如之者，以贿亡其身以及其家，何其知之不如麝耶！”

In the southeast, the navel of the musk deer was regarded as precious on Jingshan Mountain. Once the Jing people hunted musk deer. Knowing it was in danger, the must deer picked out its navel and threw it on the grass. All the pursuers scrambled for it and the musk deer made its escape. After hearing this story Ziwen, the chief minister, said, “Men cannot match this beast. Those who die with their families because of their wealth are inferior to the musk deer in their intelligence.”
