to the tune of Being Tipsy in a Peaceful Time

From the beak of a swallow you snatch the earth little,

And you peel some iron off the tip of a needle.

You scratch the gold powder off the Buddha’s face made of clay,

You simply wrench something from nothing for some pay.

In the crop of a quail you search for a piece of pea,

From an egret you try to cut muscles off the knee.

In the stomach of a mosquito you collect additional fat,

--Oh, grindstone, how cruelly you do that!
