建中兴庙宇。

载青史图书。

功成却被权臣妒，

正落奸谋。

闪杀人望旌节中原士夫；

误杀人弃丘陵南渡銮舆。

钱塘路，

愁风怨雨，

长是洒西湖。

On the Tomb of General Yue

Zhou Deqing

By word and sword he tried

To rebuild the royal temple’s fame,

And left in history an undying name.
But envied by traitors before he had won,

He was treacherously slain,

Leaving unrecovered the lost Central Plain,

And Northern royal tombs not visited again.

His work undone,

The dreary wind and drizzling rain

Are weeping for the General buried by lake side.
