道是春归人未归。

几日添憔悴，

虚飘飘柳絮飞。

一春鱼雁无消息，

则见双燕斗衔泥。

Spring

The cuckoo calls: better, better go home,

Now spring’s back yet he did far away roam.

I am pining away.

Willow fluff comes fluttering on the way.

Throughout the spring no signs of message occur,

Only swallows vie with each other in pair,

Mud in their beaks, building their nest so fair.
