九罭之鱼鳟鲂，
我觏之子，
衮衣绣裳。

鸿飞遵渚，
公归无所，
於女信处。

鸿飞遵陆，
公归不复，
於女信宿。

是以有衮衣兮，
无以我公归兮，
无使我心悲兮！

The Nine-bagged Net

The bream and red eye cannot flee
From the nine-bagged net.
You who have made love with me.
I won't let go your gown embroidered with coronet.

Over the water a swan in flight.
O where will it alight?
Why will you not stay with me one more night?

The swan files along the shore,
It will not come back any more.
Why not stay one more night within my door?

Let me keep your embroidered gown.
I wish you won't leave my town
Lest in regret my heart will drown.
