大车槛槛，

毳衣如菼。

岂不尔思？

畏子不敢。

Rumpling your cart,

Reedlike your gown,

Don’t I miss you at heart?

How dare I make it known?

Rattling your cart,

Reddish your gown,

Don’t I miss you at heart?

How dare I have it shown?

Living, we dwell apart;

Dead, the same grave we’d share.

Am I not true at heart?

By the bright sun I swear.
