The
grass on the river bank is fresh green. It
is late spring by the shrine of the Hsiang-fei. The
southern sky of Ch’u is a pale-colored strip of blue. The
wild geese soar across in slanting formations.
Alone
I lean on a vermilion railing, my feelings endless. My
heart is breaking with memory all the day long. There
is no sign of oars bringing a boat this way. Wild
ducks hover in the air on a distant sand bar.
