山绕平湖波撼城，

湖光倒影浸山青，

水晶楼下欲三更。

The hills-girt lakeside town seems in the waves to shake;

The hills’ shadows look more green when steeped in the lake.

Under the crystal tower it will be midnight soon.

Willows darken in mist when clouds sail across the moon;

The dewdrops drip from the lotus leaves like fireflies.

With loosened hair I sit and croon until sunrise.
