阿娇初著淡黄衣，

倚窗学画伊。

还似花间见，

双双对对飞。

无端和泪拭胭脂，

惹教双翅垂。

Butterflies

In late spring

Ajoy first putting on her light-yellow gown,

Learns to paint them at the window.

As seen among the flowers,

They hover in pairs and in couples.

Suddenly she rubs the crimson with rougy tears,

To bring about the butterflies’ dropping wings.
