六曲阑干偎碧树，

杨柳风轻，展尽黄金缕。

谁把钿筝移玉柱？

穿帘海燕又飞去。

The six-curved balustrade hugs the verdant trees,

A light breeze over the willows spreads all the golden threads.

Who is playing on the enameled lute with jade plectrums?

Darting through the pearled screen, the pair of swallows fly away.

Full in my sight are floating gossamers and willow-catkins,

When the apricot trees in blossom, comes a light shower of clear-bright seasonal rain.

Awakened from my middy sleep by the oriole’s noisy chant.

Shattering my sweet dreams nowhere to be found.
