芦洲晚净，

雨罢江如镜。

属玉双飞栖不定，

数点晚来烟艇。

舟在绿杨堤下，

蝉嘶欲尽斜阳。

At dusk the reedy islet’s clean,

After a shower the stream is like a mirror green.

Now here, now there, a pair of jade birds fly,

And dots of pleasure boats come nigh.

Awake from dreams, dreariness fills my eyes;

What can I do when thoughts of homeland rise?

My boat is moored ‘neath willow branches long;

At sunset dies cicadas’ song.
