Zhou Zizhi

The fisherman beats the deck and floats on the stream;

Drunk, he shuts up the awning door to sleep and dream.

Thus he lets the tide rise and ebb from year to year.

He tries to catch one-foot-long perch for life is dear,

Putting on an old straw cloak against mist and rain.

Pictures of heroes hang in palace halls in vain.
