Meeting with an Old Friend on the Way

Languid at the earth’s end,

I relive the bygone days when I meet an old friend.

So soon I part with you.

Can I bear to sing the song of adieu?

A roamer in an alien land,

To another roamer I wave my hand.

With baseless grief, I turn my head

To hear the cicada sings;

I see the setting sun red

Through their dark wings.
