又恐开时风雨至；

花开风雨不相防，

为甚不来花下醉？

今年休作明年计，

明日已非今日事。

春风欲劝座中人，

一片落红当眼坠。

Drinking Beneath the Flowering Trees

Before the flowers came forth I often made enquiries about them;

When they began to bloom I was in fear of wind and rain.

Since wind and rain leave no harm to the flowers blowing,

Why should we not come and get drunk beneath the flowering trees?

While this year is with us, let us make no plans for the next;

For tomorrow has nothing to do with today.

Look! The vernal breeze, as if admonishing us at the feast.

Let a petal of flower drop before our eyes.
