先生筇杖是生涯，

挑月更担花。

把住都无憎爱，

放行总是烟霞。

恰似黄鹂无定，

不知飞到谁家。

In my wandering life my bamboo cane will bear

Moonbeams and flowers fair.

Staying, I’ve no dislike or love,

Leaving, there’s rainbow cloud above.

Roaming, I’ll drink wine in a shop

And tea in a temple where I stop.

Like an oriole in flight,

None knows where I’ll alight.
