流光如箭，

因循不觉韶华换。

到如今，

始惜月满，花满，酒满。

 

扁舟欲解垂杨岸，

尚同欢宴。日

斜歌阕将分散。

倚兰桡，

望水远，天远，人远。

 

 

To a Friend

Song Qi

 

In my youth I was carefree;

Time flies as an arrow;

So, I have not perceived that the prime of life has gone.

Until now

When I begin to pity the moon at the full,

Flowers at the full,

Cups at the full.

 

While the small boat waits to depart from the willowy bank,

We are still rejoicing over the feast.

The sun westers low, the farewell song is over, men are separating:

Leaning on the sandalwood oar

I gaze at the water far away,

The sky far away,

The loved one far away.
