I am going to read the appeal for the establishment of National Food and Nutrition Committee and to invite your comments on its contents. However, before that, I'd like to give you a brief explanation of the background of this document.

Afghan people's struggle against foreign aggression has won from all just-upholding and peace-loving nations and peoples their sympathy and support.

5. 中国政府对全面贯彻落实“一国两制”、“港人治港”、“高度自治”的决心是坚定不移的。

With regard to the comprehensive implementation of the policies of "one country, two systems", "Hong Kong people administering Hong Kong" and "a high degree of autonomy", the determination of Chinese government will never change.  

6. 中国对裁军问题，特别是核裁军和全面禁止，彻底毁灭核武器的观点，是大家熟悉的。

On the questions of disarmament, particularly nuclear disarmament, and overall prohibition and complete destruction of nuclear weapon, Chinese positions are familiar to all.

7. 因此，我们对上述决议案中，有关外国军事基地的段落表示保留。

Therefore, with regard to the previously-mentioned draft resolution concerning foreign military bases in some paragraphs, we have some reservations.

8. 巴勒斯坦人民和阿拉伯各国人民为收复失地、恢复民族权利，从而为中东问题的和平解决做出了不懈努力。

Palestinian and Arab peoples, in order to reclaim their lost lands, restore their national rights and seek peaceful solutions to Middle Eastern problems, have made relentless efforts.

9. 为了防止爆发核战争，所有核国家都应当承担在任何情况下不首先使用核武器以及不对无核武器国家和无核区使用或威胁使用核武器的义务。

In order to prevent the outbreak of nuclear war, all nuclear states should undertake the responsibility not to be the first one to use nuclear weapons or to use or threaten to use nuclear weapons against non-nuclear states or nuclear free zones.

10.我们衷心希望两族人民能以大局为重，避免采取任何可能导致问题进一步复杂化，扩大化的行动。

It is our sincere hope that the two nations can set store by their overall interests and avoid taking any actions that can lead to further complication or deterioration of the problems.

11. 几天前，联合国大会再一次以105票的多数，通过了东盟等国提出的关于柬埔寨局势的决议。

Several days ago, the UN general assembly adopted again by the majority of 105 votes the resolution proposed by ASEAN countries on the situation of Cambodia.

12. 主席先生：首先，请允许我以中国代表团的名义，对你担任本月安理会的主席表示祝贺。中国代表团还愿借此机会对上月份安理会主席克拉维茨大使的工作表示赞赏。
   
Mr. Chairman, firstly, please allow me, in the name of the Chinese delegation, to extend our congratulation on your assumption of the presidency of the Security Council of this month. The Chinese delegation would also like to take this opportunity to express our appreciation for Ambassador Kelawich, president of Security Council of last month.

The Chinese delegation has received a document issued by the Secretariat and sponsored by the Group of 77, namely the draft resolution entitled "the Question of Food".

The objective of this conference is to summarize and evaluate the development since the first UN outer space conference in 1986 in terms of the status and application of space technology and experience of international cooperation.

The Chinese delegation has listened attentively to our colleagues' speeches on the resolution numbered A/2/32/L 52.

Resolution 93 (IV) on the integrated program for commodity was adopted eight years ago.

It doesn't matter what kind of uproar you have out there. Just like the poem goes: "Yet monkeys are still calling on both banks behind me/ To my boat these ten thousand mountains away."
