4月18日铁路第六次大面积提速，这标志着中国铁路将进入一个新时代，从此跨入世界铁路先进行列。
The sixth round of speed push-up to be launched on April 18 nationwide heralds a new era for China's railway transportation. China's railway service will then edge its way into the world's leading countries of advanced technology in passenger rail.

即将开行的时速为200公里以上，标识为CRH的D字头动车组，其外形为子弹头流线型，技术含量高、时速快、服务上乘。

During the period of the 11th Five-Year plan, China will add 17,000km length of railways with the total reaching 100,000km by the year 2020. By then the purchasing of train tickets will be made much easier. The current speed increase to over 200 km/h is a breakthrough on the basis of China's maximum speed on the existing rail routes, which is the highest rail speed currently operating in the world. This means that there will be no more large-scale speed-up exercises on China's existing railway lines.

The sixth speedup program marks the beginning of China's new era of high-speed rails. It is reported that the first bullet trainset with motorized cars traveling at 300 km/h is scheduled to roll off the production line by the end of the year.
