问：据报道，俄罗斯外长拉夫罗夫21日在年度记者会上称，中俄关系正稳步推进，已成为维护全球和地区安全稳定的重要因素。中方对当前中俄关系有何评价？对举行二战胜利70周年庆祝活动有何考虑？

 

Q: Russian Foreign Minister Lavrov said at the annual press conference on January 21 that the partnership between Russia and China in the international arena gained solid ground as an important element in safeguarding global and regional stability and security. How does China evaluate the current China-Russia relations? What kinds of arrangements has China made on the celebration activities for the 70th anniversary of the victory of World War II?

 

答：中方高度重视发展中俄全面战略协作伙伴关系，高度评价俄方进一步扩大和深化双方各领域合作的积极态度，愿与俄方相向而行，共同努力，始终保持两国关系高水平运行和发展的良好势头，促进两国共同发展繁荣，维护地区及世界的和平、安全与稳定。

 

A: China attaches great importance to the development of China-Russia comprehensive strategic partnership of coordination, and sets great value on Russia’s positive attitude towards expanding and deepening bilateral cooperation in various fields. We are willing to work with the Russian side towards the same direction, maintain the sound momentum of developing bilateral ties at a high level, promote common development and prosperity, and safeguard peace, security and stability of the region and the world.

 

今年是世界反法西斯战争暨中国人民抗日战争胜利70周年。中俄两国作为二战亚洲和欧洲两个主战场，将共同举办一系列庆祝活动，包括安排两国领导人相互出席对方举办的相关庆祝和纪念活动。

 

This year marks the 70th anniversary of the victory of the Chinese People’s War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression and World War II. As two main theaters of World War II in Asia and Europe, China and Russia will jointly hold a series of celebration activities, including arrangements for leaders of both sides to attend each other’s celebration and commemoration activities.

 

问：沙特国王阿卜杜拉23日逝世。中方对此有何评论？

 

Q: Saudi Arabia’s King Abdullah died on January 23. Does China have anything to say about that?

 

答：阿卜杜拉国王是沙特杰出领导人，生前致力于促进沙特国家发展、维护中东海湾地区和平稳定，在沙特国内外享有很高威望。阿卜杜拉国王是中国人民的好朋友，一直重视发展中沙关系，为深化中沙友谊与合作作出重要贡献。中方对阿卜杜拉国王的不幸逝世深表哀悼，向沙特政府和人民表示诚挚慰问。

 

A: King Abdullah was a great leader who committed his life to promoting Saudi Arabia’s national development and safeguarding peace and stability of the Gulf region in the Middle East. He enjoyed high prestige both at home and abroad. As a good friend of the Chinese people, he attached importance to developing China-Saudi Arabia relations, and made important contributions to deepening bilateral friendship and cooperation. China expresses deep condolences at the passing of King Abdullah, and sincere sympathies to the government and people of Saudi Arabia.

 

问：据报道，美国国务院发言人21日称，美方拒绝朝鲜有关无条件恢复六方会谈的建议。另据报道，韩美日六方会谈团长会议将于28日在东京举行。会后，美方团长还将前往中国会见中国政府朝鲜半岛事务特别代表武大伟。请证实并介绍中方有关看法。

 

Q: US State Department Spokesperson said on January 21 that the US refused the DPRK’s offer to resume Six-Party Talks with no preconditions. Reports say that heads of delegations of the ROK, the US and Japan will meet on January 28 in Tokyo. After their meeting, the head of the US delegation will come to China to meet Wu Dawei, China’s Special Representative for the Korean Peninsula affairs. Can you confirm that? What is China’s comment on that?

 

答：推进朝鲜半岛无核化、维护半岛和平稳定符合有关各方共同利益，也是各方的共同责任。当前形势下，有关各方应共同努力，发挥智慧，尽快回到对话协商轨道，为推动重启六方会谈创造条件。我们希望有关对话接触能够为推动早日重启六方会谈创造条件。

 

A: To move forward the denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula and safeguard peace and stability of the Peninsula serves the common interests of relevant parties. It is also a responsibility shared by all. Under the current circumstances, parties concerned should work together, pool wisdom, return to the track of dialogue and consultation as soon as possible, and create conditions for the resumption of the Six-Party Talks. We hope relevant dialogue and contact can create conditions for moving forward an early resumption of the Six-Party Talks.

 

中方一直同六方会谈有关各方保持着密切沟通。关于美方团长访华，如有进一步消息，我们会适时发布。

 

China has been in close contact with the relevant parties of the Six-Party Talks. As for the visit of the US head of delegation, we will release relevant information in due course.

 

问：第一，“伊斯兰国”提出的两名日本人质72小时赎金支付期限已过，结果尚不清楚。中方对此有何评论？第二，据报道，马来西亚内政部长和中国公安部负责人会谈后向媒体透露，有300多名中国人以马来西亚为中转站参加“伊斯兰国”组织。中方能否证实？

 

Q: First, the Islamic State gave a 72-hour period for the payment of ransom for 2 Japanese hostages. Now, the time is up and the result is still unclear. What is China’s comment on that? Second, reports say that Malaysia’s Interior Minister held talks with the leading officials of China’s Public Security Department. They revealed that China has information that over 300 Chinese people travelled to join the Islamic State via Malaysia. Can you confirm that?

 

答：关于第一个问题，中方反对一切形式的恐怖主义，反对一切针对无辜平民的极端行径，希望有关人质安全获释。

 

A: On your first question, China opposes all forms of terrorism and extremist actions directed at innocent civilians. We hope for the safe release of the hostages.

 

关于第二个问题，请你向主管部门了解。中方在反对和打击一切形式的恐怖主义问题上的立场非常清楚。恐怖主义是国际社会的共同敌人，需要国际社会加强合作予以打击。中方愿与国际社会加强反恐和执法安全领域的务实合作，希望各国都能够认真履行联合国安理会第2178号决议，共同打击恐怖分子的跨境活动，维护地区和世界的和平、安全、稳定。

 

On your second question, I would refer you to competent authorities. China’s position on opposing and combating all forms of terrorism is very clear. Terrorism is a common enemy faced by the international community, and has to be fought back with strengthened cooperation of the international community. China is willing to deepen practical cooperation with the international community in counter-terrorism and law enforcement. All countries should earnestly follow the No. 2178 resolution of the UN Security Council, jointly crack down on the cross-border movement of terrorists, and safeguard peace, security and stability of the region and the world.

 

问：中方今年将举办世界反法西斯战争暨中国人民抗日战争胜利70周年庆祝活动。上述活动将在何时举行？将邀请哪些国家领导人出席？是否会举行阅兵仪式？

 

Q: China will hold celebration activities for the 70th anniversary of the victory of the World Anti-Fascist War and the Chinese People’s War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression. When will these activities be held? Who will be invited to attend the celebration? Will there be a military parade?

 

答：今年是世界反法西斯战争胜利70周年，也是中国人民抗日战争胜利70周年。中方将举行庆祝和纪念活动，目的是要让人们更好地牢记历史、珍爱和平。至于庆祝和纪念活动的具体时间和形式，包括邀请范围，目前我没有消息可以发布。

 

A: This year marks the 70th anniversary of the victory of the World Anti-Fascist War and the Chinese People’s War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression. China will hold celebration and commemoration activities so that people will better remember the history and cherish peace. As for in what form and when these activities will take place as well as the guest list, I have no information to offer at the moment.
