《二十四孝·老莱子戏彩娱亲》（汉英对照）

周老莱子，至孝，奉二亲，极其甘脆，行年七十，言不称老。常着五色斑斓之衣，为婴儿戏于亲侧。又尝取水上堂，诈跌卧地，作婴儿啼，以娱亲意。

诗曰：

戏舞学娇痴，春风动彩衣。

双亲开口笑，喜色满庭闹。

Lao Laizi, Clad in Colourful Clothes to Please His Parents

Lao Laizi of the Zhou Dynasty in the Spring-Autumn period, was extremely dutiful. He served his parents extraordinarily well by offering them sweet and delicious food. He was in his seventies, but he never said that he was old. On the contrary, he often wear colorful clothes and played like a child at the side of his parents. Once he carried water on his shoulder and pretended to stumble and fall. He lay on the ground, crying like a child, so as to please his parents.
